Founder and Director of Bright Lights School - fully DBS checked and First Aid Trained. Andriana MacInnes (BA HONS), has completed LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) Examinations up to Grade 8 (Gold Medal) and RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) Examinations. Andriana has been teaching Speech & Drama since 2008, whilst obtaining a degree in Drama and English at Brunel University. Bright Lights School of Performance was born in 2010 and is a Registered Limited Company. Andriana is the LAMDA Teacher at St Margaret's School, Stanborough Primary School and Stanborough Secondary School.

I love helping students discover their confidence through speech and performance. As a performing arts and LAMDA tutor, I work with learners of all ages and abilities, supporting them to develop communication skills, creativity and self-belief while preparing for LAMDA examinations, public speaking, auditions and performances. Every lesson is tailored to the individual, creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to grow. The greatest joy of teaching is seeing students gain confidence, find their own voice and achieve things they never imagined possible, both on stage and in everyday life.

Hi, my name's Lauren, and I have been a LAMDA teacher for 11 years and am now a LAMDA examiner! I have taught in many schools around Hertfordshire and London. Proudly, I’ve also taught abroad in regions where very little English is spoken, delivering drama and arts programmes to get people of all ages and backgrounds confident with their English speaking and performance skills. I have a vast background in special educational needs and home schooled students.

I am from a big family - the eldest of 7! So, I have a naturally nurturing and supportive attitude. My expertise is in all aspects of drama & public speaking, whether that be teamwork, articulation, expression, physicality, devising and creativity...or technical skills such as memory and script work! My number 1 rule is to make it fun and accessible to all! I love dancing, reading, weightlifting, seeing live music, and of course going to the theatre! I am looking forward to meeting you all!

Isabelle

Isabelle is a teacher and actor from Blackpool; its rich, theatrical history and bright lights inspired her from a young age. After completing a foundation course at East 15, Isabelle moved to London, working at the Old Red Lion Theatre before gaining a place at The Oxford School of Drama. Isabelle found a love and purpose for teaching before starting at drama school, but once she graduated, she quickly picked it back up again and found a love for teaching LAMDA exams. She took LAMDA exams herself as a teenager and so understands their importance. She wouldn’t be where she is now without LAMDA! Offstage, Isabelle is a voracious reader (getting through a book a week), a lover of all things Sci-Fi.

Sonja
Sorvola

Sonja Sorvola is an actor, director, choreographer and pedagogue with nearly 20 years of professional experience, and a directorial portfolio spanning large-scale commercial productions, national touring work and independent fringe. She has played leading roles in musicals such as Rent, Chicago and The Rocky Horror Show, and plays, including Constellations, Crave and As You Like It.

Sonja has taught Acting, Musical Theatre and Movement across secondary, further and adult education, and successfully coached students into prestigious drama schools including the Royal Academy of Music, The BRIT School and East 15 Acting School. She is dedicated to nurturing students' development as confident, creative thinkers, and finds deep fulfilment in supporting that growth over time. She also brings this passion into her communication skills coaching work in the corporate world, helping clients to navigate complex situations with clarity, empathy, and genuine engagement.
